Rising star Travis Denning to headline pre-race concert for Bass Pro Shops NRA Night race at Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 17, 2019) – As fans flock to Bristol Motor Speedway to witness the best short track racing there is, singer/songwriter Travis Denning will headline the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race pre-race concert at The Last Great Colosseum on Saturday, Aug. 17.

Denning will take to the stage prior to NASCAR driver introductions for America’s Night Race. Known for donning his signature Bass Pro Shops cap for every performance, Denning will get fans pumped up as they prepare to see short track racing at its best under the lights.

“Travis Denning is a rising star within the country music scene with a passion for the outdoors, making him the perfect fit to perform at the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race,” said Jerry Caldwell, executive vice president and general manager of Bristol Motor Speedway. “There’s nothing like the energy of America’s Night Race and Denning will get the party started with his original music and signature style.”

“I’ve always loved watching races at Bristol because it’s in your face, up close and as personal as it gets. It’s unreal to think that I’ll actually be playing at Bristol Motor Speedway,” said Denning.  “I’m ready to get on down to East Tennessee and help get the pre-race festivities started with all the fans at America’s Night Race.”

Denning’s debut single “David Ashley Parker from Powder Springs” hit the Top 40 charts in 2018. The song harkens back to Denning’s days as a youth and his escapades of using David Ashley Parker’s ID as his own. The Georgia native’s recently released single, “After A Few” is currently climbing the country radio charts.

While supplies last, Denning fans have two options to see the singer/songwriter at Bristol.

Current Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race ticket holders may add on a Pre-Race Pit Stop pass and be stage-side (on the track) for the concert featuring Travis Denning. The Pre-Race Pit Stop also includes track access for driver introductions. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/2Q0bAef.

About Travis Denning:
A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, singer/songwriter Travis Denning just released his new single “After A Few,” which he co-wrote and follows his Top 40 debut single “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs”. Denning, who has been spotlighted by Rolling Stone for his “everyman worldview that evokes his small-town, big-hearted upbringing and a sound that is a wide tent – fun, modern country with rock-guitar licks”, was recently selected as an Opry NextStage recipient and CMA KixStart Artist, as he makes his mark within the industry. Inspired at a young age, Denning developed a love for country, pop, rock and heavy metal and started playing local bars from the age of 16, as he built a strong following from his distinctive songs and raucous guitar solos. Denning moved to Nashville and secured outside cuts by Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Michael Ray and Chase Rice. A prolific writer with an unquestionable stage presence, Denning caught the attention of Universal Music Group and signed a record deal in 2017. Denning has previously opened shows for Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson, LANCO and is set to play some of the country’s biggest festivals including CMA Fest, Faster Horses Festival, Watershed Festival, Country Thunder and more this summer. When Denning is not touring, he is in the studio working on his debut album.
