Austin Theriault returns to Rick Ware Racing at Richmond; expects more races to end the season

Fort Kent’s Austin Theriault will jump back into a Rick Ware Racing Ford Fusion for Saturday night’s NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series Federated Auto Parts 400 race at Richmond Raceway.

This time, Theriault will be driving the No. 51 Ford after racing in the No. 52 Ford the previous three races. That means he will be working with a different crew for this race.

The Florida-based Jacob Companies are the primary sponsor of the No. 51 car, and Bangor Savings Bank is the associate sponsor. Theriault said Bangor Savings Bank will continue to be involved as a sponsor for the rest of his races this season.

“It has taken some time, but we’re starting to build some amazing momentum. I’m really happy that Bangor Savings Bank is continuing to support us and will be part of every race from now until the end of the year. That’s very critical,” Theriault said.

Theriault said he will drive in at least three of the final eight races after Richmond, but they have not ironed out the details yet.
