  • Entry List for the Food City 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway is posted, 39 teams/drivers [for 40 spots] are listed.
    Some of the drivers entered include: #00-Cassill, #15-Chastain, #51-Rhodes, #55-Sorenson, #66-Finchum, #72-LaJoie, #96-Kennington.
    Since only 39 cars are entered, all drivers will make the race.

  • Felix Sabates no longer bidding for Carolina Panthers: Charlotte businessman Felix Sabates, who has been working for months to pull together a local group to potentially buy the Carolina Panthers, says he now won’t be involved with any bids. The Observer reported last month that Sabates, a long-time fixture on the Charlotte sports scene, was looking to partner with another bidder, rather than assemble his own group.   • Bobby Labonte to race for NASCAR Whelen Euro Series title: The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is about to get some American flavor. Bobby Labonte, the first driver to win championships in two different NASCAR national series, will compete fulltime in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 2018 in hopes of adding an international title to his Hall of Fame-worthy career.
