NASCAR has released the post-race penalty report from the weekend at Phoenix Raceway.
In the Cup Series, there were five lug nut penalties.
The teams of #1-Kurt Busch, #18-Kyle Busch, and #24-William Byron each had one loose lug nut. Their crew chiefs were fined $10,000.
#2-Brad Keselowski and #99-Daniel Suarez each had two loose lug nuts. Crew chiefs Jeremy Bullins and Travis Mack were fined $20,000 each and suspended from the Atlanta race. Grant Hutchens will serve as Keselowski’s crew chief this weekend, while Jose Blasco-Figueroa will work with Suarez.
In addition, Jonathan Stewart was given an indefinite suspension for a violation of NASCAR’s sports gambling policy.
