At Dover Motor Speedway, DGM Racing will debut new paint schemes that honor two family businesses. Alex Labbé will be behind the wheel of the Centre du VR Victoriaville (VR Victoriaville) No. 36 and Mason Massey will pilot the A-Z Companies No. 91 in the A-GAME 200. Both companies are owned and operated by the drivers’ families.
Run by the Massey family, A-Z Companies is a home construction and insurance restoration business based in Douglasville, GA. Although A-Z Companies has been on Massey’s cars in previous years, this weekend will be A-Z Companies’ first race with DGM Racing. This weekend also marks Massey’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series attempt at Dover Motor Speedway.
“It’s an honor to see our logo and paint scheme on the track at Dover this weekend. My in-laws (Mason’s grandparents) have been in the home construction and insurance restoration business since 1965, and we are currently running the business as my in-laws ease into retirement,” said Mayes Massey, owner of A-Z Companies and father to Mason Massey. “Our core values align identical to the men and women at DGM Racing, as we take every job seriously, communicate to our customers’ needs, and make sure we represent each customer fully while working with their respective insurance company.”
While Massey pays tribute to his grandparent’s family business, Labbé will also represent a company owned and operated by his own father, VR Victoriaville. When he isn’t on the track or at the race shop in Florida, Labbé works at VR Victoriaville with his family during the week. Headquartered in Quebec, Canada, VR Victoriaville specializes in RV sales, accessories, and repairs. VR Victoriaville has partnered with Labbé many times in his racing career, but this weekend will be the first race of the 2022 season.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing my family’s company back on board this weekend at Dover. Dover is a really exciting track for me as it is one of the few races of the season that is within driving distance from my home,” said Alex Labbé, driver of DGM Racing’s No. 36. “Being so close to Quebec makes perfect sense for VR Victoriaville to be on the car. I am incredibly thankful for my father’s support and I hope we can bring home a solid finish at the Monster Mile!”In his five starts at Dover Motor Speedway, Labbé has collected 3 Top-20s and two 21st place finishes with DGM Racing.
Labbé and Massey will compete in the A-GAME 200 at Dover Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 30 at 1:30 p.m. ET. Practice and qualifying will proceed the race. All on-track activity will be televised live on FS1.
