Could the M&M car win the M&M 400? For the first time this season, sportsbooks are backing Kyle Busch to win a race, and it just so happens to be the M&M Fan Appreciation 400.
Busch is given +700 odds, or an implied 12.5% chance to win the race. He’s followed on the odds market by the red hot Chase Elliott, the steadily climbing Kyle Larson, and on and off again Denny Hamlin at +800 each. Those are the only 4 drivers to be given at least a 10% chance to win this weekend.
However, there are four other drivers given +1000 odds this weekend. That makes this one of the most competitive races of the year. Among those given a chance are Ross Chastain, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., and Ryan Blaney.
Quote from OddsChecker spokesman Kyle Newman, “Are the sportsbooks trying to meme here? The M&M car is the favorite to win the M&M sponsored race. It’d be one thing if Kyle Busch was hot, but he hasn’t had a top-10 finish in over a month. After Busch are the trio of sportsbook loved drivers with Elliot and Larson looking strong over the last month and Hamlin still hot and cold. The books see a tight race coming this weekend, but could the M&M car really come out on top?”
