Sage Karam Moving to Our Motorsports for Multiple Races

By Dustin Albino

Sage Karam will compete in four – possibly five – of the final eight Xfinity Series races of the 2022 season for Our Motorsports, sources confirmed to Jayski.com.

Karam will take over the No. 02 Chevrolet on Friday at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Pennsylvania native will also drive for Our at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL (Oct. 8), Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Oct. 15) and Homestead-Miami Speedway (Oct. 22). The possible fifth race will be in the penultimate race of the season at Martinsville Speedway (Oct. 29).

Karam has competed in seven Xfinity races during the 2022 season for Alpha Prime Racing, earning a best finish of fifth at Daytona in late August, the team’s first top-five finish. In 11 career starts after making the transition from the NTT IndyCar Series and IMSA, Karam has an average finish of 22.5.

Brett Moffitt drove the No. 02 car for the opening 20 races of the 2022 season before Blaine Perkins took over at Michigan International Speedway, Watkins Glen International and Daytona International Speedway. Ty Dillon had an electrical issue in his first start for the team at Darlington Raceway. Brandon Brown finished 17th in the No. 02 car on Saturday at Kansas Speedway.

At Texas Motor Speedway in two weeks, Karam will make his final scheduled start with Alpha Prime.
