The Stewart-Haas Racing Xfinity Series hauler was involved in an accident en route to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Wednesday. The two co-drivers were uninjured and the team quickly implemented a plan to get the racecar and equipment to Las Vegas in time for track activity on Friday.
“Earlier today, the No. 98 NASCAR Xfinity Series hauler of Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 a few miles west of Flagstaff, Arizona. The truck had two occupants and neither was seriously injured, although one was taken to a local hospital for further treatment and observation.
FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass has reported, “according to Arizona Dept of Public Safety, the SHR hauler driver told investigating troopers that he fainted while traveling 75 mph on I40 West at milepost 189. He lost control of the truck, which struck a guardrail. It doesn’t appear the vehicles inside were damaged.”
