UPDATE: Martha BowmanJarrett, 91, of Newton, passed on Sunday, February 5, 2023. A native of Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Adrian Curtis Bowman and Lena Evelyn Winebarger Bowman. Mrs. Jarrett was a member of Beth Eden Lutheran Church where she was part of the Women of the ELCA. She was an avid golfer but will mainly be remembered as a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She cherished nothing more than being surrounded by her family.
In addition to her parents Martha was preceded in death by her two brothers, Donald and Sterling Bowman.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ned Miller Jarrett; sons: Glenn N Jarrett of Conover and Dale A Jarrett of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter: Patti J. Makar and her husband, Jimmy of Statesville; sister: Revonda Rockett of N. Wilkesboro; six grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Christina, Natalee, Karsyn, Dillon, Alex and her husband, Brian, Zachary and 1 great grandchild, Ford and several nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Beth Eden Lutheran Church, 400 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658
The family would like to thank Carolina Caring for their service as well as the caregivers, who cared for Martha so well.
