Nashville Penalties: Sheldon Creed docked points, fined for spinning Sammy Smith

NASCAR has docked Sheldon Creed 25 points and fined him $25,000 for intentionally wrecking Sammy Smith on lap 69 of the Xfinity Series race at Nashville Superspeedway.

NASCAR reviewed radio communication from Creed’s No. 2 team to determine the intention.

Tanner Gray’s crew chief, Jerame Donely, has been fined $2,500 for having a lug nut loose at the conclusion of the Craftsman Truck Series race at Nashville.
