Racing again at Richmond:

after a 52 minutes red flag for rain, the race has restarted and made it past 200 laps, so it is official and will end tonight/this morning. Radar shows the rain could clear out in a bit.
The National weather service forecast:
Saturday evening (9/8): Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely in the evening’¦then partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. West winds 10 to 15 mph’¦becoming north 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Chance of rain 70 percent.
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Cooler. Less humid with highs around 80. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Expect NASCAR to do everything in its power to get the race in tonight so the race doesn ‘t have to go up again the first week of NFL games on Sunday afternoon/evening. More weather links on the Richmond Race Info page – weather links section.(9-8-2012)
