Nick Sanchez returns for a second season with Rev Racing in Truck Series

Rev Racing announced today that Nick Sanchez will pilot the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet in the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) with new technical alliance partner, Spire Motorsports. Kevin “Bono” Manion will lead the Team in pursuit of Sanchez’s and Rev Racing’s first victory in the Truck Series and ultimately a Championship.

Rev Racing expanded its operations, in 2023, to include a full-time entry in the NCTS. At the time, Sanchez had competed for five years with Rev Racing as a participant in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. Seeing success in every level of competition, Sanchez was the optimal choice for the dedicated seat. 2024 will mark his seventh consecutive year with the Team.

“I am thrilled to be returning to Rev Racing for a full season in the NCTS,” said Nick Sanchez. “I certainly have some unfinished business. I am grateful for another opportunity to compete with Max and appreciative for the returning support of my partners at Gainbridge. They truly are catalysts in my career and continue to drive positive change in our sport. I am energized by the new talent I have surrounding me in 2024, but feel foundationally grounded by those that are returning for a second season. The team makeup is positioned for success and we are all focused on the same goal, to win a Championship.”

Sanchez’s rookie NCTS season was nothing short of impressive, securing five pole awards, two top-5 finishes, and twelve top-10 finishes, ultimately earning him the title of the 2023 NCTS Rookie of The Year. Sanchez, just falling short of competing in the final round of the Playoffs, is focused on finishing the job alongside his 2024 Team.

Kevin “Bono” Manion will serve as the Crew Chief for the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet. He is a notable figure in the industry, scoring victories as a crew chief in all three of NASCAR’s National Series. He is also a back-to-back (2004 and 2005) NASCAR Xfinity Series champion with Martin Truex Jr.. He earned multiple victories with Jamie McMurray in the NASCAR Cup Series, including the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400. Bono worked at DEI for many years, as well as multiple other teams and drivers during his career including Ricky Craven, Tommy Baldwin Racing, Steve Park, Martin Truex Jr., Richard Petty Motorsports, etc.

In 2023, Manion worked in both the NASCAR Xfinity for four races and the NCTS for multiple races where he garnered a first place finish with Kyle Larson at North Wilkesboro. His experience will be a great asset to Sanchez, as he approaches his second full-season in the NCTS.

“I am really looking forward to working with Nick in the upcoming season,” said Bono, Crew Chief of the No. 2 Chevrolet. “He is incredibly committed to his craft and I know we are going to work really well together. We have a great group of guys surrounding this effort and we are positioned for success, we just need to execute.”

As their preparations ramp up for the start of the season, the team will be a harmonious mix of returning and new, respected talent. One of the 2024 additions will fill the seat of the Team’s lead engineer.

NASCAR veteran, Allen Hart, will step in as the chief engineer. Hart has multiple years of experience in engineering and serving as a crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. His resume includes experience at JR Motorsports, Turner Motorsports, Tommy Baldwin Racing, Penske Racing and Sam Hunt Racing and more.

The season will kick-off with the Fresh from Florida 250, set for February 16th at 7:30 pm at Daytona International Speedway. Live coverage will take place on FS1, Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye on Rev Racing social media channels for more updates about the 2024 season.
