Joey Logano to serve pass-through penalty at start of Atlanta Cup race

NASCAR officials penalized Team Penske driver Joey Logano on Sunday for wearing unapproved safety gloves, ruling that the No. 22 Ford will drop to the rear of the field and serve a pass-through on pit road for the start of Sunday’s Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Additionally, the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet driven by Chase Elliott will drop to the rear of the field for Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400 (3 p.m. ET, FOX, PRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) because of unapproved adjustments.
