Ryan Truex returning to Joe Gibbs Racing at Texas

Ryan Truex will return to the driver’s seat in the Xfinity Series at Joe Gibbs Racing next weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, the team announced on Tuesday.

Truex will take over the No. 20 Toyota, which has been split by John Hunter Nemechek and Aric Almirola through the first six races of the 2024 season. Texas will be the first of three straight races in which Truex competes for JGR, as he will drive the No. 20 car at Talladega Superspeedway and Dover Motor Speedway where he is the defending winner.

In a pair of starts at Daytona International Speedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway to begin the 2024 season, Truex has an average finish of 15th and finished ninth at Atlanta.
