Justin Haley’s team penalized at Nashville for pre-race infraction

Qualifying / pre-race inspection is complete in the NASCAR Cup Series garage at Nashville Superspeedway.

After passing inspection, the No. 51 team of Justin Haley made an unapproved adjustment that resulted the following:

  • The team will not be permitted to qualify, will lose pit stall selection, and car chief JR Norris has been ejected for the remainder of the weekend.
  • Additionally, the No. 51 will start at the rear of the field on Sunday and perform a drive through penalty after taking the green flag.
