Cup pre-race inspection at Indianapolis complete

Pre-race inspection is complete in the NASCAR Cup Series garage.

  • No. 38 failed inspection twice.
    • Car chief Will Norris has been ejected for the remainder of the weekend and the team will lose pit selection for this event.
  • After passing inspection the first time, the No. 19 team made an unapproved adjustment that resulted in the following:
    • The team will lose pit stall selection, and car chief Chris Jones has been ejected for the remainder of the weekend.
    • Additionally, the No. 19 will start at the rear of the field on Sunday and perform a drive through penalty after taking the green flag.
    • The team passed on re-inspection.
