Chris Sherwood to serve as Christopher Bell’s crew chief until Adam Stevens recovers from injury

Crew chief Adam Stevens suffered a double knee injury while enjoying vacation time with his family. Stevens underwent successful surgery to repair both knees and is on the mend, but he will work remotely for a few weeks. In his absence, car chief Chris Sherwood will assume at-track crew chief responsibilities while Stevens works in the war room at Joe Gibbs Racing headquarters during the upcoming races.

ADAM STEVENS: “I hate that I won’t be at the track for a few weeks, but I will be fully engaged remotely. I am very thankful for the depth and strength of this 20 team and don’t anticipate my physical absence having any effect on our performance. The surgery went well, and I will be back at the track in a few weeks.”
