Josh Bilicki and MBM Motorsports are reuniting for another run in the NASCAR Cup Series with the support of Arby’s franchisee, AES Restaurant Group. Bilicki will race the No. 66 Arby’s Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 21.
AES Restaurant Group, LLC proudly operates 187 Arby’s restaurants that span across the United States from Montana to Florida. Arby’s, founded in 1964, is the second-largest sandwich restaurant brand in the world. AES jumped into the Arby’s franchise business in 2004 with six Indiana locations and has rapidly grown with restaurant purchases, remodels, and new openings for the last two decades. Arby’s celebrated AES Restaurants as the Franchisee of the Year in 2019.
“We are so excited to partner with Josh to support the Bristol community at one of the biggest races of the year. Coming off of an exciting NHRA US National title, we couldn’t be happier to be a part of the NASCAR series and the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway,” said John Wade, CEO of AES Restaurant Group.
Josh Bilicki, the pilot of the No. 66 Arby’s entry, will be making his 99th premier series start. The Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin native drove a stellar race for MBM earlier in the 2024 Cup season on the Chicago Street Course, and now the 29-year-old will team back up with MBM for the opportunity to drive his fourth Cup race on the Bristol high banks.
“I’m very thankful to represent AES Restaurant Group and Arby’s at one of NASCAR’s most iconic races of the year, the Bristol night race,” said Bilicki.
“MBM Motorsports and I had a respectable run at our last Cup race in Chicago, so I’m looking forward to carrying the momentum to the Last Great Colosseum and serving up the meats with Arby’s!”
MBM team owner Carl Long is pleased to bring a veteran driver to Bristol with such a delicious sponsor onboard.
“I love going to Bristol. My biggest win as a driver was there in the 1997 NASCAR All-Pro Series. I have had some of my best races as a driver and as an owner in Trucks, Xfinity, and Cup at this track,” said Long.
“I believe we will race well. Arby’s and Bilicki are a solid combination to pair up with. The track may throw teams another tire challenge like in the spring race. We are preparing for it.”
“I have to end my comments here, my Beef ‘n Cheddar with curly fries is ready here in the Arby’s drive-thru!”
The NASCAR Cup Series weekend opens with practice and qualifying from Bristol on Friday, September 20 beginning at 4 pm ET. The Bass Pro Shops Night Race is scheduled for 7:30 pm ET on Saturday, September 21. USA Network will carry live television coverage. Streaming is available on the NBC Sports app.
