It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Clyde Lee Vickers, 73, a resident of Thomasville. He passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025 at his home. Clyde was born on August 24, 1951, in High Point, NC to his parents, the late Edith Elliott Vickers and Edsel “Bobby” Vickers. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and traveling. He and Ramona, his wife of 47 years, were avid boaters and loved being on the water. Although recently retired, he and Ramona built a motorsports company, CV Products, from the ground up. Being a continuous innovator in the field, Clyde was admired by many. He made a profound and lasting impact to everyone he met. Surviving family members include his beloved cat Smokey, his wife Ramona Fowler Vickers, two children, Melissa Vickers of Jamestown, Brian Vickers of Miami, two grandchildren, Davis Bryant of Raleigh, Thomas Bryant of Chapel Hill, one brother, Terry Vickers of Thomasville, and a nephew, Elliott Vickers of Trinity.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at 27 High Tech Blvd. Thomasville, North Carolina, where he spent much of his golden years working on classic cars if he wasn’t on the water with his loved ones. We look forward to an intimate gathering with Clyde‘s close friends and family. If you’re not able to join us, we thank you for your wishes and welcome your love from afar. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you make a donation to your choosing of Samaritans Purse or Saint Jude Children Research Hospital in his name.
