Speedway Motorsports executive Bryan Hammond has been promoted to Vice President of Fan Experience, company officials announced today.
In his new role, Hammond will lead the charge to make the fan experience remarkable across 15 Speedway Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series event weekends at 11 different venues coast-to-coast.
A 21-year veteran with the company, Hammond most recently served a dual role as Executive Director of Partnerships and Entertainment as well as Executive Director of NASCAR at COTA, Speedway Motorsports’ production of the NASCAR Cup Series race weekend at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, TX.
“Speedway Motorsports has an incredible history of creating remarkable events, and this is a strategic move to continue enhancing the entertainment value for every fan at every race,” said Speedway Motorsports Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Burch. “Bryan’s track record includes not only high-level execution with pre-race concerts but also developing entertainment opportunities through our Trackside Live stage shows and interactive fan displays.
“He also has a unique ability to work effectively with both our corporate sales partners and our industry stakeholders,” Burch added. “Bryan will provide guidance and support to teammates at each respective venue and promote a FANS First mentality to deliver the enjoyment our fans expect.”
Hammond’s responsibilities will include developing and guiding fan experience strategies; evolving pre-race entertainment, stage shows and in-venue activations; supporting teammates across all departments at Speedway Motorsports facilities from the fans perspective; sharing best practices; and using attendee feedback and data to continuously improve fan experiences.
“Our company is blessed to have many talented individuals working in the entertainment space,” said Hammond. “I look forward to the new challenge of bringing my experience in event production to a wider audience of our teammates and corporate partners. Our collective goal is for every fan who steps foot on our properties to have fun!”
