Sad News – Mike Warrington

Michael (Mike) Lee Warrington passed peacefully surrounded by family on the afternoon of August 8, 2025.

He was the son of the late, Russell Warrington and Eleanor Raye (Workman) Warrington. Born on December 10, 1952 and raised in Georgetown, DE. He graduated from Sussex Central High School 1970 and attended Delaware Technical College.

Mike is survived by his wife Kassie Warrington, son Matthew Warrington and wife Angie Warrington (Georgetown, DE), Daughter Megan Warrington (Millsboro, DE); Step son Chase Wells (Bethany Beach, DE) Granddaughters Chloe, Harlee, and Lilly Warrington, brothers Rusty, and Alan Warrington (Georgetown, DE).

Mike worked for the Delaware State Police for 30 years, retiring in 2007. His last position was as Lieutenant, Deputy Commander Troop 4 Georgetown, DE.

In addition, he worked for 37 years for the fuel Distribution of NASCAR 76 fuel-to SUNOCO fuel. His last position was a NASCAR Lead Representative for Sunoco.

Mike was happiest when he was golfing or working/watching the NASCAR races.

He was very proud of his children and grandchildren!

Mike’s celebration of life will be held, Friday, September 26, 2025 at Bay Shore Community Church, 36759 Millsboro Highway, Millsboro, DE. 19966. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m., followed by the celebration service from 12 -1 p.m. After the service a reception will be held at the Millsboro Fire Hall, 109 State Street, Millsboro, DE. 19966 to continue visiting with the family and sharing memories of Mike’s life.
