Phoenix Raceway Fan Fest will provide free kickoff celebration Oct. 30 in downtown Phoenix

Phoenix Raceway is revving up the high-octane excitement for NASCAR Championship Weekend with an all-new Phoenix Raceway Fan Fest, set for Thursday, October 30. This free, family-friendly event will run from 4-7 p.m. at Civic Space Park in downtown Phoenix and serve as the official kickoff to a thrilling weekend of championship racing and entertainment at Phoenix Raceway, Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

“Phoenix Raceway Fan Fest is going to supercharge the anticipation for NASCAR Championship Weekend like never before,” Phoenix Raceway President Latasha Causey said. “This brand-new event brings the sights, sounds, and spirit of NASCAR right into downtown Phoenix, giving fans an unforgettable free preview of what’s to come at the track. From driver appearances to show cars and live entertainment, Civic Space Park will be buzzing with excitement. It’s the perfect way to launch the biggest weekend of our season.”

Causey announced the plans for Phoenix Raceway Fan Fest earlier today alongside Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Visit Phoenix President and CEO Ron Price as they unveiled the NASCAR Championship Countdown Clock at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

“NASCAR Championship weekend continues the trend of “Championship Valley.” We are proud to host Phoenix Raceway Fan Fest in beautiful downtown Phoenix at one of our vibrant city parks,” Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said. “The event will bring the energy of racing right into the heart of our community and give fans from around the country an opportunity to experience the excitement of NASCAR up close while enjoying everything our city has to offer.”

NASCAR Championship Weekend begins at Phoenix Raceway on Friday, Oct. 31, with the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Championship Race, and continues on Saturday, Nov. 1, with the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race and the ARCA Menards Series West’s Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 100. And then on Sunday, Nov. 2, following a pre-race concert from country music star Jordan Davis, the stars of the NASCAR Cup Series will vie for the Bill France Cup in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race.
