There could be a new plan for the Kentucky Speedway, the once roaring NASCAR track that has been vacant for years.
A lot is on the table and on Tuesday, neighbors got to weigh in. More than 25 years after building started, the future of the Kentucky Speedway is in the air.
“We’ve got one chance to get it right,” said Ryan Morris, judge-executive of Gallatin County.
The county wants to rezone it, possibly for small businesses, manufacturing jobs, housing or a combination of it all.
