Thieves steal from Greg Biffle’s home after plane wreck: UPDATE

UPDATE: Video released by deputies on Wednesday showed someone breaking into Greg Biffle’s home just weeks after he and his family were killed in a Statesville plane crash.

The burglary happened around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Biffle’s estate along Doolie Road in Mooresville.

As of this writing, no arrests have been made, and deputies are asking anyone with information about the break-in to come forward.

Original post (1-14-2026): Burglars reportedly stole $30,000 in cash from the home of NASCAR legend Greg Biffle just weeks after Biffle and six others were killed in a plane crash in Statesville, according to a police report obtained by WCNC Charlotte.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to Biffle’s estate on Doolie Road a little after 6 p.m. on Jan. 8. According to the incident report, $30,000 in cash and a backpack were reported missing from the home. Biffle, his wife Cristina, and two of his children were among seven people who died in a plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport on Dec. 18.

No arrests have been announced in connection with the investigation. It’s unclear if detectives have identified any suspects or persons of interest at this time.
