The 2026 Daytona 500 will be run with the same Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setup that was used in last year’s race, giving teams a familiar look for the Great American Race.
The left-side tire NASCAR Cup Series teams will use has raced at Daytona International Speedway since 2022. The right-side tire was introduced at last year’s Daytona 500. Together, this tire setup was used at all four traditional superspeedways in 2025: two at Daytona and two at Talladega Superspeedway. The tire specifications and allocations will be in place for the entire event, including Thursday’s Duels.
NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will also compete on familiar tire setups, with both series using the same left and right-side tires at Daytona for the fifth consecutive year. In both series, teams use inner liners on tracks 1-mile and longer.
“We will have well-proven Goodyear Racing Eagle tires to kick off the NASCAR season at Daytona for all three series,” said Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear’s Director of Racing for the Americas. “Our team has worked hard all off-season and we are looking forward to returning to Daytona.”
