Young Life and Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) are proud to announce that 17-year-old Toyota development driver Brent Crews will take the wheel of the No. 19 Young Life Toyota GR Supra for 12 races in the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season.
Following an Owners Championship-winning 2025 season with veteran driver Aric Almirola, the No. 19 team turns its focus to the next generation. This was made possible by The Signatry, which, in a display of creative philanthropy, gifted the title sponsorship of the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 19 Toyota GR Supra to Young Life for the upcoming NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
The partnership represents a story of discipleship in motion, deeply rooted in the legacy of the late J.D. Gibbs. Crews is not just a driver for JGR; he is an active participant in the mission. He is currently being joined by his Young Life leader, Miller Gibbs, son of J.D. Gibbs and grandson of Coach Joe Gibbs.
“It is a huge honor to drive the No. 19, but having Young Life on the car means something different to me personally,” said Crews, who will make his series debut this season. “I’ve had the opportunity to participate in a Young Life camp event at Windy Gap with Miller Gibbs as my mentor, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to put the Young Life Toyota up front.”
Crews, who is the newest O’Reilly Auto Parts Series rookie, has posted five wins and six poles with JGR in the ARCA Menards Series, East, and West throughout the 2025 season. The Toyota Development driver has led over 100 laps in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and racked up a total of two top-fives and three top-10’s.
The relationship between the Gibbs family and Young Life spans over 40 years, beginning when J.D. Gibbs attended Young Life club in high school. J.D. eventually served on the Young Life Board of Trustees, championing the ministry’s work until his passing in 2019. Today, that legacy continues not only on the track but through the J.D. Gibbs Campership Legacy Fund, removing financial barriers so kids can experience the best week of their lives and hear the good news of God’s love.
“We are excited to see Brent behind the wheel, not just because of his talent, but because of who he is,” said Joey Jimenez, Young Life’s Chief Development Officer. “Last year, we saw Young Life on a championship car. This year, we see the mission coming full circle—a teenager driving the car that honors J.D.’s memory. It is a perfect picture of generational impact.”
The No. 19 Young Life Toyota GR Supra will compete in 12 races throughout the 2026 season, kicking off at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX, on February 28.
