Victory Junction is bringing together the excitement of NASCAR and the energy of Music City during “Gears & Guitars,” a free public event on Friday, May 29, in downtown Nashville. The day-long celebration will feature a classic NASCAR car show, live music performances, celebrity appearances, meet-and-greets, and a silent auction, all benefiting Victory Junction and its mission to provide life-changing camp experiences for children living with complex medical and physical conditions.
The event combines the soul of Nashville with the heart of Camp and invites fans, families, race enthusiasts, and music lovers to Broadway for an unforgettable experience that will help send more children to Victory Junction free of charge.
“Broadway in downtown Nashville is the perfect place to bring together cars and country music, especially during a race weekend,” said Michael Cottingham, Chief Marketing Officer for Victory Junction. “Gears & Guitars unites NASCAR fans and music lovers around an incredible cause that will help children experience the joy of being a kid.”
The family-friendly classic NASCAR car show will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. across from Tootsies Orchid Lounge and will give fans the opportunity to see iconic race cars up close. NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will appear from 1 to 2 p.m. for a special meet-and-greet with fans.
The celebration continues with a live concert from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hank Williams Jr.’s Boogie Bar. Featured performers include Bart Lattimore, Daniel Cain, Nicholas Vernon, and Ben Miller & Co. Country music personality and social media influencer Hannah Dasher will host a special meet-and-greet during the concert. Guests can also participate in a silent auction featuring signed memorabilia from Richard Petty, Kyle Petty and additional exclusive items.
