School’s out for the summer and Pocono Raceway is the perfect destination for families looking to combine NASCAR action with a full weekend of fun during The Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISIT PA tripleheader.
The three-day weekend features race every day beginning Friday, but there is plenty more for children and families to enjoy beyond watching NASCAR’s biggest stars compete on the track. Pocono Raceway has a dedicated Kids Zone with entertainment, displays and activities open each day and ramps the fun even more with Saturday’s Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital Kids Day.
Making the weekend even more family friendly, children ages 12 and under receive free admission to the 100 and 200 levels of the grandstand, including access to Fan Fair, all weekend long. With every adult ticket purchased, fans can add up to four free children’s tickets, making Pocono Raceway one of the best family entertainment values of the summer.
From carnival rides and bounce houses to driver appearances and NASCAR racing, Pocono Raceway offers families an affordable way to kick off summer together. Click here for more information on the program.
The Kids Zone, located in Fan Fair, will be packed with activities designed to keep young race fans entertained throughout the weekend. The area will be open from noon—3 p.m. Friday; 8 a.m.—4 p.m. Saturday; and 8 a.m.—3 p.m. Sunday.
The Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital Kids Day is a special event from 9 a.m.—noon Saturday at Chalet Village. Of course, the weekend’s on-track action is just as exciting.
