Pocono Cup race sold out for fourth year in a row

The Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISIT PA NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway has sold out for the fourth consecutive year, raceway officials announced Saturday.

Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race has attracted fans from all 50 states and 20 countries, including Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. Australia ranks third in ticket sales behind only the United States and Canada.

The previous three sellouts produced the largest crowds at “The Tricky Triangle” since 2010. This year’s sellout comes nearly one month after Pocono Raceway announced all 3,300 camping spots had been sold, marking the sixth consecutive year camping has sold out.

The Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISIT PA, a 160-lap, 400-mile race, begins at 1 p.m. ET and will be carried nationwide on Amazon Prime Video, Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM Radio.

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our fans, partners and the entire NASCAR community,” Pocono Raceway President Ben May said. “To sell out the NASCAR Cup Series race for a fourth consecutive year and have camping sell out for a sixth straight year is a testament to the passion of our fans and the unique experience they create at Pocono Raceway. Seeing visitors travel here from all 50 states and 20 countries is truly special. The loyalty and enthusiasm of our fans helped Pocono Raceway earn USA TODAY’s Best NASCAR Track honor for the third consecutive year, and we look forward to welcoming everyone for a memorable day of racing at ‘The Tricky Triangle.’”
