Two people have been arrested in connection with a break-in and burglary at the Buncombe County home of NASCAR driver Dave Marcis, authorities confirmed.

On Sept. 3, Buncombe County detectives charged 27-year-old Hailey Bowlin with second-degree burglary, possession of a firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm, larceny after breaking and entering, and five counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.

On Sept. 8, detectives arrested a second person: 29-year-old Cameron Samotis, who is charged with second-degree burglary, officials said. He is also being held in the Henderson County Detention Center.

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said most of the items stolen from Marcis’ residence have since been recovered.
