Post-race inspection complete at Gateway

Post-race inspection is complete following the 2026 Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway.

There were no issues for #5-Kyle Larson. He is officially the winner of the race.

The race turned into a war of attrition, with a track-record 18 cautions for 87 laps and two late red flags for track cleanup. The race went to overtime twice before Larson took the checkered flag. He led 80 laps, including the final 13, second only to Logano for most laps led.

The victory ended a lengthy winless streak for Larson, whose previous Cup Series win came at Kansas Speedway in the spring of 2025.

No cars are returning to the NASCAR R&D Center for inspection.

The Cup Series now heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for Saturday night racing.
