Conor Daly will return to the Ram Free Agent program to drive the No. 25 Ram 1500 for Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Kansas Speedway on Sept. 26.
The 34-year-old Daly made his seventh career Truck Series start at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in July. He knows the 1.5-mile, high-speed Kansas oval will present a different challenge than the short track at Indianapolis.
“Indianapolis was all about momentum and tight-quarters racing, but Kansas is a completely different animal,” Daly said. “It’s fast, aerodynamic-dependent and wide open — you really have to nail your setup and trust the truck through those long corners.”
Daly, known for his high-energy open-wheel background, brings star power to Ram’s popular rotating-driver program as the manufacturer returns to NASCAR after a 13-year hiatus.
Ram made its highly anticipated return to NASCAR in 2026 as a manufacturer partner with Kaulig Racing. The brand quickly made an impact through the innovative Ram Free Agent Program and its “Race for the Seat” initiative. The reality show evaluated a group of drivers before selecting “Mini” Tyrrell for a full-time opportunity.
Ram has also served as the official pace truck provider for race weekends. These efforts have generated significant fan excitement and elevated the visibility of both Ram and the Truck Series.
“I had an absolute blast racing for Kaulig Racing and Ram at Indianapolis,” Daly said. “The team welcomed me with open arms, the truck was competitive, and getting to race in front of my hometown fans made it a special night. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to keep the momentum going at Kansas.”
Daly boasts an impressive résumé with 133 NTT IndyCar Series starts, including one pole position, six top-five finishes, 26 top-10s and 213 laps led. In the 2026 Indianapolis 500, he led four laps and battled for the lead before finishing 12th. That result marked his fifth consecutive top-12 finish at Indy.
NASCAR fans have already seen Daly compete in 12 Cup Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Truck Series races. This appearance adds another high-profile name to Ram’s Free Agent Program, which has turned the No. 25 into a headline-grabbing showcase.
The truck has featured NASCAR legends and fan favorites, including Tony Stewart, Ty Dillon, Ryan Newman, Elliott Sadler, Jamie McMurray, Colin Braun, Corey LaJoie, Travis Pastrana, Parker Kligerman, Clint Bowyer, AJ Allmendinger, Regan Smith and Carson Ferguson.
Daly joins Kaulig Racing’s five-truck Ram fleet, which includes full-time entries for Corey LaJoie (No. 10), Brenden “Butterbean” Queen (No. 12), Mini Tyrrell (No. 14) and Justin Haley (No. 16).
Kaulig Racing, founded by entrepreneur Matt Kaulig in 2016, has grown from a part-time secondary-series team into one of NASCAR’s rising organizations. The team earned its first O’Reilly Auto Parts Series win in 2018, expanded to the Cup Series in 2020 and fields multiple trucks in the Craftsman Truck Series through its partnership with Ram.
Kansas Speedway is a 1.5-mile tri-oval with variable banking ranging from 17 to 20 degrees in the turns. Trucks reach sustained speeds exceeding 170 mph through the corners on the smooth, progressive surface. The track has played a key role in Truck Series history since hosting its first event in 2001 and remains a favorite stop that rewards strong aerodynamics, tire management and precise handling.
