New England’s only NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) proved to be successful for local nonprofits with the dedication of the New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCCNH), the official charity of NHMS, and the many volunteer groups who helped fundraise more than $142,000 during the Aug. 21-23, NCS weekend event.
SPEEDWAY CHILDREN’S CHARITIES
SCCNH hosted four events – Laps for Charity, a Cornhole Tournament, the Track Walk presented by LeMay Family Goodworks and the Wicked Good Live Auction and Raffle – and offered five other opportunities – an online auction, selling customized bricks, signing a track wall banner, the Track Treasures Shop and the 50/50 Raffle presented by Dollar Tree – during NASCAR weekend for race fans to support New England children in need. These experiences helped SCCNH raise more than $100,000 for local children’s charities in addition to sending one lucky race fan home with more than $50,000 after winning the 50/50 Raffle.
Each December, SCCNH distributes grants to nonprofit organizations focused on serving New England children. In 2025, 43 grants were distributed totaling $155,600. Since its inception in 2009, SCCNH has distributed more than $2.3 million supporting nearly 1.5 million children throughout the region.
Upcoming and Ongoing SCCNH Fundraising Opportunities
Laps for Charity (Sept. 20): Experience the thrill of driving a personal vehicle or riding in the Official Toyota Camry XSE pace car on the 1.6-mile full road course. Group and VIP sessions are available with VIP sessions offering the opportunity to be the only vehicle on the racetrack with the pace car. Everyone will get a photo taken in victory lane after their laps. Limited spots are available and advanced registration is suggested.
Customized Bricks (Ongoing): Race fans can continue to cement their legacy as a NHMS fan for years to come by purchasing an engraved brick that can be customized with names, family names or even a special message. A 4” x 8” brick is $200 and an 8” x 8” brick is $350. The bricks will soon be used to build a beautiful walkway on NHMS property.

VOLUNTEER GROUPS
In addition to funds being raised for SCCNH, 25 teams of motivated volunteers from high school and college clubs and sports teams, sororities, Knights of Columbus and more helped NHMS during NASCAR weekend to benefit their respective nonprofit. From ticket scanning and parking assistance to hospitality and ushering, these volunteers from New Hampshire and Massachusetts helped ensure a memorable experience for event attendees from the first green flag to the final checkered flag. In return for their volunteerism, NHMS donated more than $42,000 to the nonprofit organizations they represented.
