Chase Elliott takes home his first win of the 2022 season: NASCAR Cup Series standings leader Chase Elliott earned his first victory of the season in Monday’s weather-delayed DuraMAX Drydene 400 at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway. Elliott led the final 53 laps of the 400-lapper and pulled away from Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for a 2.577-second victory in an action-packed race that was slowed 12 times for caution periods – including a red flag weather delay on Sunday that necessitated pushing the restart to Monday.[Read More](5-2-2022)

#9-Chase Elliott won the rain-delayed DuraMAX Drydene 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway. The win is his 1st of the year, 2nd at Dover Motor Speedway and 14th career win.
#47-Stenhouse, Jr. finished 2nd followed by #1-Chastain, #20-Bell, #48-Bowman, #5-Larson, #18-Busch, pole winner #17-Buescher, #4-Harvick, and #43-Jones.
Elliott took the lead from Chastain with 52 laps remaining and pulled away from the field to win by more than 2 seconds.
The race was delayed until Monday after rain stopped the race Sunday with 78 laps complete.
Stage 1 was won by #11-Hamlin. Stage 2 was won by #12-Blaney.
There were 17 lead changes among 10 drivers and 13 cautions for 75 yellow flag laps.
