#8-Tyler Reddick won the Verizon 200 NASCAR Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The win is his 2nd win of the year, 1st at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and 2nd career win.
#2-Cindric finished 2nd followed by #21-Burton, #38-Gilliland, #23-Wallace, #22-Logano, #16-Allmendinger, #34-McDowell #41-Custer, and #17-Buescher.
Reddick started from the pole and led 38 laps on the day. #1-Chastain crossed the finish line second, but was penalized by NASCAR for cutting through the access road on the final restart and was moved to 28th place.
The race ended after the first Overtime event, brought on by a late caution due to #3-Dillon stuck in the gravel following a spin.
Stage 1 was won by #14-Briscoe. Stage 2 was won by #20-Bell.
There were 9 lead changes among 7 drivers and 5 cautions for 15 yellow flag laps.
