#9-Chase Elliott won the M&Ms Fan Appreciation 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway after NASCAR disqualified intial winner #11-Hamlin and second place finisher #18-Busch. The win is Elliott’s 4th of the season, 1st at Pocono, and 17th of his career.
#8-Reddick finished second, followed by #99-Suarez, #20-Bell, #5-Larson, #34-McDowell, #19-Treux, Jr., #23-Wallace, #43-Jones, and #3-Dillon
#11-Hamlin started on the pole and overcame an early spin to battle back to the front of the field. With 16 laps remaining he was running second behind #1-Chastain when the two got together and Chastain was forced up into the wall. Chastain could not continue and finished 34th. Hamlin and Kyle Busch went on to cross the finish line first and second before the disqualification.
Stage 1 was won by #5-Larson. Stage 2 was won by #1-Chastain (after Busch’s disqualification).
There were 15 lead changes among 10 drivers and 9 cautions for 37 yellow flag laps.
