#24-William Byron won the Quaker State 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The race was cut short on lap 185 of the scheduled 260 for rain. The win is his fourth win of the year, second at Atlanta and eighth career win.
Byron had an eventful evening that now goes down as a comeback after suffering a penalty, a spin, and falling a lap down early in the race.
#99-Daniel Suarez finished 2nd followed by #16-AJ Allmendinger, #34-Michael McDowell, #8-Kyle Busch, #6-Brad Keselowski, #15-JJ Yeley, #31-Justin Haley, #12-Ryan Blaney, and #47-Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.
Pole winner #10-Aric Almirola led 46 laps and finished 18th.
Stage 1 was won by #12-Blaney. Stage 2 was won by #6-Keselowski.
