#1-Kurt Busch won the Quaker State 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The win is his first win of the year, fourth win at Atlanta and 33rd career win.
#1-Busch led the most laps of the race with 144 of the 260 out front. He battled his brother #18-Kyle Busch for the lead throughout the final stretch of the race, with Kurt coming out on top with 23 laps to go. The brothers hit lapped traffic and Kurt admitted post race his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate, #42-Ross Chastain, helped with track position to get him ahead of Kyle. Despite numerous attempts in the closing laps, #18-Kyle Busch fell short and was forced to settle for second. He was followed by #19-Martin Truex, Jr., #48-Alex Bowman, #12-Ryan Blaney, #8-Tyler Reddick, #9-Chase Elliott, #20-Christopher Bell, #21-Matt DiBenedetto, and #2-Brad Keselowski.
Pole sitter #9-Elliott led 13 laps and finished seventh.
Stage 1 was won by #18-Busch. Stage 2 was won by #1-Busch.
There were 10 lead changes among seven drivers and four cautions for 21 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 147.207mph.
