With last-lap pass, Corey Heim gets first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win at Atlanta: Moments after taking the white flag in Saturday’s FR8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Corey Heim powered to the inside of Kyle Busch Motorsports teammate Chandler Smith, got a push from teammate John Hunter Nemechek and held on to win his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.(Read More)(3-19-2022)

#51- Corey Heim won the Fr8 208 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Saturday’s race was the first on the newly reconfigured surface at Atlanta. The win was the first of Heim’s career in just five series starts.
#99-Ben Rhodes finished second, followed by #66-Ty Majeski, #18-Chandler Smith, #38-Zane Smith, #52-Stewart Friesen, #17-Ryan Preece, #15-Tanner Gray, #19-Derek Kraus, and #22-Austin Wayne Self.
Stage 1 was won by #52-Stewarrt Friesen.
Stage 2 was won by #4-John Hunter Nemechek.
Nemechek played a role in the race finish. After falling two laps down courtesy of a green flag pitstop he found himself mixed in with the leaders. He fell third in line behind Kyle Busch Motorsports teammates #18-Smith and #51-Heim, but on the last lap, chose to stick with Heim and helped push him to the lead.
There were 18 lead changes among 10 drivers and seven cautions for 40 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 109.182mph.

Rain forced NASCAR to cancel practice on Friday afternoon.
