Kyle Busch makes last-lap pass for ninth Xfinity win at Charlotte: In NASCAR’s new normal, with a Memorial Day race in a stretch of four national events in four days, Kyle Busch returned to the old normal-winning. But for Busch to secure his record 97th victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the driver of the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota had to make a last-lap pass of Austin Cindric, who blew past Busch during an overtime restart in Monday’s Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.(Read More)(5-25-2020)

#54-Kyle Busch won the Alsco 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The win is his first of the year, ninth win at Charlotte and 97th career win.
#8-Daniel Hemric finished 2nd followed by #22-Austin Cindric, #10-Ross Chastain, #7-Justin Allgaier, #02-Brett Moffitt, #1-Michael Annett, #68-Brandon Brown, #20-Harrison Burton, and #21-Myatt Snider.
Pole sitter #10-Chastain led 68 laps and finished fourth.
Busch led 94 total laps and won both of the opening stages leading up to the race win.
There were 20 lead changes among 5 drivers and 11 cautions for 53 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 111.743mph.

Pit selection process:

  • Order based on finishing position from the May 19th race at Darlington, followed by new entries in order of points.

Starting lineup process:

  • Positions 1 -12:  The first 12 NXS Teams based on the Adverse Conditions Line Up Eligibility will be assigned starting positions 1st – 12th using a random draw.
  • Positions 12 – 24:  The next 12 NXS Teams based on the Adverse Conditions Line Up eligibility will be assigned starting positions 12th- 24th using a random draw.
  • Starting positions 25 – 36: The next 12 NXS Teams based on the Adverse Conditions Line Up eligibility will be assigned starting positions 25th -36th using a random draw.
  • Any vehicles that are eligible for the Event in position 37th – 40th will be assigned starting positions based on their order of eligibility.

There will be a competition caution on lap 20. It will be a standard caution with no modifications as previously announced.
