Making a last-lap pass, #19-Brandon Jones snapped a 50-race winless streak by winning Friday night’s Call 811 Before You Dig 250 at Martinsville Speedway. It’s Jones’ fifth career victory.
Finishing a career best second was #10-Landon Cassill. #16-AJ Allmendinger placed third, winning the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash bonus. #21-Austin Hill and #1-Sam Mayer rounded out the top five.
#98-Riley Herbst finished sixth, as #18-Ryan Truex, #54-Ty Gibbs, who led a race-high 197 and was leading at the white flag, #39-Ryan Sieg and #51-Jeremy Clements made up the rest of the top 10.
#54-Gibbs won both stages, giving him three stage victories for the season.
There were 12 lead changes among seven drivers and 16 cautions for 100 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was 56.099 mph.
