Brandon Jones Snatches Victory from Ty Gibbs on Final Lap: On older tires, Brandon Jones stole an Xfinity Series win from the scion of the owner of his race team on Saturday night at Martinsville Speedway.(Read more)(4-8-2022)

Making a last-lap pass, #19-Brandon Jones snapped a 50-race winless streak by winning Friday night’s Call 811 Before You Dig 250 at Martinsville Speedway. It’s Jones’ fifth career victory.
Finishing a career best second was #10-Landon Cassill. #16-AJ Allmendinger placed third, winning the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash bonus. #21-Austin Hill and #1-Sam Mayer rounded out the top five.
#98-Riley Herbst finished sixth, as #18-Ryan Truex, #54-Ty Gibbs, who led a race-high 197 and was leading at the white flag, #39-Ryan Sieg and #51-Jeremy Clements made up the rest of the top 10.
#54-Gibbs won both stages, giving him three stage victories for the season.
There were 12 lead changes among seven drivers and 16 cautions for 100 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was 56.099 mph.

For the third straight week, #54-Ty Gibbs won the pole for the Xfinity Series race. For Friday night’s Call 811 Before You Dig 250, Gibbs ran a speed of 95.985 mph. It’s the first time since 2016 that a driver has won three consecutive poles in the series.
#7-Justin Allgaier had the second best lap (95.496 mph), with #9-Noah Gragson (95.347 mph), #18-Ryan Truex (95.041 mph) and #2-Sheldon Creed making up the top five (94.979 mph).
#02-Brett Moffitt backed up his solid practice lap by posting the sixth best time in qualifying. #10-Landon Cassill, #39-Ryan Sieg, #11-Daniel Hemric and defending winner #8-Josh Berry filling out the top 10.
