Mark Martin flew Ward Burton home from Daytona and it was reported on RPM2Nite that Ward has a large lump on his forehead, John Kernen mentioned the fact that Burton does not wear a full-face helmet that could have saved him from getting the bump. They did an MRI that supposedly showed there was no damage to Ward’s neck(7-7-97)
