As per today’s Charlotte Observer RJR announced today effective immediately Joe Camel will no longer be used in advertising, though with the bill still needing Congressional and Presidential approval they didn’t need to pull the ads. No report on what effect this will have on Spencer’s team which does not run the Joe Camel character on the car anymore(7-11-97)
