I hear reports that Jack Roush will be buying the #97 John Deere Pontiac team and may switch all FOUR teams to Pontiacs. This is a real rumor! I hear Ford is hustling to keep the Roush teams. Supposedly Roush feels like an outsider with Ford and that most of development goes thru Yates or Penske. I hear he’ll jump to Pontiac like Gibbs did and for the same reasons, if Ford doesn’t right the ship. Either way – The 97 will be a Ford or everybody (6,16,97,99, and Todd) will be in a Pontiac. This sounds like a FIVE car team, wow!!(7-15-97)
