Despite his victory at California Sunday, Mark Martin’s team had it’s problems in the pits. Team manager, Buddy Parrott accidentally tripped on something in the pits and fell. It is believed he tripped on some wires or cables. Parrot recalls hearing a cracking noise during the fall. As a result of the mishap, Buddy has been diagnosed by the infield care center with broken cartilage and possibly a bruised orcracked rib. Apparently, the injuries didn’t stop Buddy from celebrating with Mark and the team in Victory Lane.(StockCarFans)(5-5-98)
