NASCAR now has a new series which is called the RE/MAX Challenge. It is a joint effort sanctioned by ARTGO and NASCAR. These races will basically run in conjunction with Busch Series races, CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, and NASCAR Winston West series races. A total of 18 races will be run this year. So what is it? In short the RE/MAX Challenge combines short track and superspeedway races, plus a road course race. The season opened on April 5th at Rockford Speedway in IL, and on the 26th of that month the series raced at LaCrosse Fairgrounds in Wisconsin.(Nancy-StockCarFans.com)(5-11-98)
