Tom Bolles injured UPDATES

UPDATE 2: Connecticut racer Tom Bolles was critically injured in a wreck during the Busch North Series CMT race at NHIS on Saturday. Bolles, 37, is an eight-year veteran of the circuit. He ran back-to-back races yesterday afternoon, finishing 38th in the opening Featherlite Modified race. He immediately climbed into the Busch car owned by his father, Edward J. Bolles, to run the afternoon’s 100-lapper. He was listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit with a fractured second vertebra in his neck. Bolles was showing no signs of paralysis.(Times Dispatch)(8-30-98) – Busch North series driver Tom Bolles remained hospitalized. Bolles sustained a fractured vertebra and a concussion after hitting the wall in Saturday’s Busch North race. Doctors are debating whether to use a halo treatment or a bone fuse. The 37-year-old has full movement in his limbs and can breathe unassisted. He has no memory of the accident.
