Jimmy Johnson, once general manager of Hendrick Motorsports, has agreed to come out of retirement to manage Galaxy Motorsports, a Busch Grand National team headquartered in Murfreesboro, TN(#40 ChannelLock Chevy). Galaxy, whose BGN driver is currently Stanton Barrett, plans to upgrade to Winston Cup next year. According to team sources, a sponsor will be announced in the near future. The team may compete in both Cup and BGN next year(SpeedNet/Monte Dutton)(5-31-1999) – UPDATE 1: I hear the team has a deal for Cup in the works, supposedly a good one. Not sure if Barrett moves up with the team, but they are happy with his performance so far in the #40(6-1-1999)
