TDK Racing, based in Mooresville, NC announced that they have named Ronnie Hornaday III to drive their 1999 Chevys for the full ARCA schedule in 2000. After posting some impressive lap times in mandatory testing at Daytona in December TDK Racing Team Owners David Leiner and Karl Gollnast made it official. Ronnie Hornaday III, 20 years old, is the son of two time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Ron Hornaday Jr. In December in his first ever visit to the 2.5 mile superspeedway, Hornaday turned in the 5th fastest overall time at 186.297mph. Hornaday III and TDK Racing are set for a full schedule of ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series racing for 2000 with an eye on Rookie of the Year honors starting with the 37th ARCA Pro2Call 200 on Sunday February 13th(TDK Racing PR)(1-28-2000) UPDATE: TDK Racing and Ronnie Hornaday III announced that Enginewear, a California based manufacturer of performance clothing for women have agreed to an associate sponsorship agreement for the 2000 ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series.
