#68 Crew Chief: Premiere Motorsports hired Jimmy Fitzgerald as Crew Chief for their #68 BGN team. Ten candidates were interviewed for the position before Fitzgerald was chosen. A team spokesman was quoted as saying,It wasn’t a hard decision to hire Jimmy. He and our driver seemed to communicate well right from the start and he knows these Busch cars as good as anyone in the garage. Jimmy’s involvement in Busch racing includes working with drivers such as former Busch SeriesRookie of the Year Johnny Benson, Rick Mast, back to back Busch Series Champion Randy Lajoie, and most recently Kenny Irwin. Premiere Motorsports will host a press conference at their new 38,000 sq. foot facility Wednesday, May 31st at 11am to announce their sponsor, driver and 2000 race schedule.
